Reference for Ila Rhodey
Ila assisted our family by helping to care for our babies several nights a week for approximately 4 months, beginning shortly after they were born. We would highly recommend Ila as a doula for any potential families - we feel so grateful that she came into our lives.
Bringing home a new baby is a magical but also challenging time, all the more so in our case as it was two babies at once (we have twins) and we already had a two year old at home. It is difficult to put into words how much we came to rely on Ila helping us out during those early difficult nights. Ila took wonderful care of the babies, and we felt comfortable leaving them with her right away because of her warmth and quiet competence. This allowed us to get the rest we so desperately needed. She made sure to keep us informed about what happened during the hours we were sleeping and went above and beyond in terms of making herself useful around the house while the babies slept. We worked with several doulas, but Ila stood out to us because she was not only excellent at caring for the kids and a pleasure to deal with, she was also one of the most reliable (arriving early, never missing a shift etc.
Any family would be lucky to have Ila assist them - we feel so fortunate to have worked with her!
